FAQS

We are committed to providing top-quality products to our consumers. Vileda® products are warranted against defective materials or workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase. For all questions about product warranties, please contact Vileda® Customer Care Team for assistance.

Can I obtain a replacement for part of my Vileda® product that I lost or accidentally threw out?

What is microfibre and why is it used in Vileda® mops?

Microfibre is a highly absorbent material that is excellent at removing tough dirt and grime. Vileda® microfibre mop heads are machine-washable.

How does Vileda® microfibre remove over 99% of bacteria with just water from my floors?

Vileda microfibre mop heads are made up of millions of tiny fibres. These ultra thin microfibres catch dirt efficiently. When used with water, all these fibres loosen and physically pick up dirt and remove over 99% of bacteria without the use of harsh cleaning chemicals. Our microfibre removes the two most common household bacteria, E. coli and Staph. Aureus, from pre-finished hardwood flooring and ceramic tile, using tap water, as tested at an independent accredited lab.

How often should I replace my microfibre mop head refill?

We recommend changing your mop head refill every 3 months, however this also depends on your cleaning routine/how often you mop. A simple reminder is to change your refill every season. PRO TIP: Keep an extra refill handy so you are always ready for the next mess.

After mopping I have streaks on my floor, what can cause this to happen?

Streaks are caused by a residue of a chemical that is left on the floor. Make sure you follow the instructions from the cleaner you are using so that it is not too concentrated and never use fabric softener when washing the refills.

Is the RinseClean™ microfibre mop head smaller than the EasyWring™ Spin Mop?

The red triangle-shaped frame and connector on the refill is smaller than EasyWring, but the actual microfibre mop strings are longer to provide the same great cleaning performance with improved maneuverability to reach into tight spaces.

How do I clean out the RinseClean™ clean water tank?

Rinse and drain the clean water tank after each use. Air dry by leaving the blue fill cap and red flow valve open.

How do I use my Vileda spin mop?

It’s easy to use your Vileda spin mop and bucket system. Just fill the bucket with water (we recommend 6L), add cleaning solution if you like (try our Vileda PACS for an easy no-measure cleaning solution!) and dunk your mop head into the bucket. To wring out excess moisture, lift the mop head from the bucket and insert into the circular wringer. Holding the handle loosely, pump the foot pedal 5 to 7 times to control the water level of your mop.

Mop starting at the furthest point in the room, so you don’t mop yourself into a corner. Use a figure-eight pattern when mopping.

When you’re finished mopping, you can toss your mop head into the washing machine, wash, and use again! Lay it flat to dry.

How does the Vileda RinseClean spin mop work?

The Vileda RinseClean spin mop uses a patented two-bucket system to separate clean and dirty water. Genius! The top compartment holds clean water, while the bottom compartment holds dirty water.

To get started, make sure the red tab on the top blue bucket is all the way closed. Next fill the opening in the blue bucket with water (and cleaning solution, opt for Vileda PACS for an easy floor cleaning solution!). Pull up the red tab to dispense the water into the bucket, and dunk your mop. Keep the tab open while mopping. The bucket auto-refills after each soak! To wring out the excess moisture, move your mop head into the wringer. Holding the handle loosely, use the foot pedal to wring out your mop. The excess water is dispatched into the bottom bucket.
